The Première health insurance plan.
For expat residents of France who are registered with the State Healthcare System (CPAM).
Expatriates living in France are often unaware of the gap between the
actual cost of health and medical care provided under the state system
and the amount recoverable from CPAM. If you are registered with CPAM
they will reimburse, in broad terms, up to 70% of your doctor's pharmacy
or out-patient examination and treatment bills and, dependant upon the
illness from 70% to 95% of the cost of medical or surgical treatment in
hospital. These unrecoverable costs can amount to a considerable sum.
Goodhealth Worldwide (Europe) Limited has, therefore, introduced the
Première Healthcare Plan specifically designed to provide health insurance
to cover this difference. The Plan is easy to understand, offers excellent
levels of cover and is affordable. Expats can choose from 2 levels of cover.
And, if you require health insurance cover whilst travelling away from France,
there is an international module allowing you to receive cover for treatment
worldwide. All in-patient claims can be settled direct with the medical providers.
The Première Module
This specialist health insurance plan pays the full difference between the
amount paid by CPAM and the actual cost for any in-patient treatment within France.
The plan also covers any out-patient costs linked to the hospitalisation for up to 90
days pre-admission or post-discharge including home nursing, physiotherapy, road ambulance
costs and convalescence. Other benefits include normal or complicated pregnancy and
childbirth costs, day-patient surgery and a private hospital room.
The Première Plus Module
Includes all of the above but also covers (within France) all out-patient
costs, including visits to GP's, prescribed medicines,
GP surgery and both routine and emergency dental treatment.
The International Module
For expatriates living in France, but requiring insurance cover outside France,
this option extends the cover to Europe for elective treatment and worldwide for
accident and emergency treatment.
For planned treatment received outside France, insurance cover is provided for up to
30 days per year. In the event of an accident or emergency, however, the health
insurance cover is provided without any time limit.
