Overseas Medical Insurance - Korea

International SOS - our assistance company - received a call from a client whose husband had been involved in a skiing accident in Korea. The client, who was covered by our overseas medical insurance, had incurred severe injuries that required immediate stabilisation. He was initially hospitalised in South Korea, where a guarantee was issued by Goodhealth Hong Kong to cover all medical treatment costs under his overseas medical insurance. However, due to the severity of his injuries the client was later evacuated to Germany - his country of choice - in order to undergo surgery and further rehabilitation.

Goodhealth and International SOS organised the flight arrangements and a medical escort, and a further guarantee was issued to the hospital in Germany to cover the cost of treatment. The client has now recovered from all injuries.
